Recommendation for Your Nursing Workspace

Your Nursing Workspace - This is what yo do after the initial -6 week Period

Once you've reached the third trimester, you'll most likely begin stocking up on nursing bras, breast pads, and loose button-down shirts in preparation for the months ahead. You can make your own personal location, a custom built breast feeding area for yourself, while getting ready to breastfeed.

Your nursing station should be a reflection of who you are as a person.

Consider putting up in a corner of the living room or family room if you prefer a noisy yet pleasant environment. Keep an additional chair or two close by so that relatives or friends can keep you company.

A comfortable study or unoccupied guest room might be excellent if you like solitude & quiet. While you breastfeed, close the door, dim the lights, and take a few long, relaxing breaths.

You have your own chair.

Whether it's a glider, an overstuffed recliner, or a desk chair with wheels, your nursing chair should be really comfy. Because you'll be sitting in the chair for several hours each day, it should be really comfy. Always seek for a chair that has back and shoulder support as well as arm rests.

Support underfoot

You can use a footstool, low coffee table or a stack of pillows to elevate your feet as you breast feed.  If you raise your legs and feet to bring your baby to your breast, you'll avoid possible backache.

Pillows and more pillows

Your neck, arms, feet, and back will need as  much support as you can give, so don't hesitate to surround your body with pillows.  If you lay a pillow across your lap for your baby to lay on, he'll be very comfortable and that much closer to your nipple.  For extra comfort, you can even  purchase a specially made nursing pillow that  will encircle your waist.

One-person table

Keep a small table or a stand at arm's reach of your breast feeding chair at all times. It should be large enough to accommodate a coaster and a glass of beverage. Some ladies like to drink from a glass, while others prefer to use a straw.

Healthy snacks, like as fresh fruit, nuts, or crackers and peanut butter, should also be on hand to assist you replace the energy you consume while breastfeeding.

Avoid Distractions

If your baby is a slow eater or has a voracious appetite, keep yourself occupied while he eats. To keep yourself occupied until your baby is satisfied, load the shelves of a neighboring cabinet or bookcase with your favorite books or crossword puzzles. You should also keep a phone nearby so that you may pass the time by talking to family or friends.
